Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actor director, producer, playwright, teacher, and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton, the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" born in Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her performances as a kid as well as watching her mother at work. While still a small girl, she appeared in a variety of commercials. Anna moved to Toronto in Ontario for the purpose of pursuing her acting. In the decade which followed, she relocated into Los Angeles. She came across Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actor's workshop held in Los Angeles, and they got engaged in the year 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism in the year before and Seth Cooperman got married in December of 2010 in Fredericton.
