Reese Witherspoon

Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon was born on the 22nd of March in 1976. Her many accolades include an Academy Award, British Academy Film Award and Primetime Emmy Award. She has also won two Golden Globe Awards. Time magazine listed her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in the years of 2015 and 2006. Forbes also named her one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in the World in the year 2019. In 2021, Forbes named her the world's most successful actress, with an estimated amount of $400 million.Witherspoon began her acting career at the age of a teenager, making her screen debut with The Man in the Moon (1991). In 1999, the actress made her first breakthrough in the role of a character of the supporting actor in Cruel Intentions. She was also known for portraying Tracy Flick as Election's black comedy. Her fame grew with playing Elle Woods in the comedy Legally Blonde (2001) and the sequel, Legally Blonde 2003, as well as for her role in the romantic comedy Sweet Home Alabama (2002). She was awarded the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in the musical biopic Walk the Line. After a downturn in her career, where her sole box-office hit was the romantic comedy Water for Elephants (2011), Witherspoon made a comeback with the production and role of Cheryl Strayed in the drama Wild (2014), which earned her a second nomination for Best Actress at the Academy Awards. Witherspoon has continued to work mostly on television and produced and starred in many adaptations of literary written by women under the name Hello Sunshine. The series include Big Little Lies, an HBO drama series (2017-2019), The Morning Show and the Apple TV+ drama series (2019-present) and Little Fires Everywhere (2020). The Primetime Emmy Award was won for Outstanding Limited Series in the first episode of the series. She produced the adaptations to film of Gone Girl (2014) as along with Where the Crawdads Sing (1922). Witherspoon also owns Draper James, a clothing company, and is involved in advocacy groups for children and women. She is a part of the board of the Children's Defence Fund and was named Global Ambassador of Avon Products in 2007. In this capacity, she also serves as chair honorary of Avon Foundation's charitable foundation dedicated to women's issues.
